Looking for some feedback on my portfolio (beginner)

Hello all, I'm not entirely sure what the rules are in asking for feedback, but here goes.

I've recently taken a liking to web design and I've already designed a website for a family friend's business.

The next step I took was designing my own online portfolio to take on some more projects and further my experience in web design.

I was just looking for some feedback and perhaps some blunt and honest criticism as to whether or not it's possible for me to advance and better myself in this field.

My portfolio: webby-yeti.com

edit: not sure how to link to an external site via markdown... sorry.

I really like the cartoon graphic!

Thanks! I made it as sort of a mascot for my portfolio and decided to incorporate him and design around it.

I'm not sure if he's to stay permanently though...

Cool site! Welcome to the world of Web Dev & Design.

A cool feature you can try adding a php based contact form to your site so it would be easier for people to reach out to you. I believe treehouse offers a course on that.

Thanks! I'll have to look into doing that, because that's definitely a feature I want to support to make it easier on the client's side of things.

Adorable! You're a good designer and have a nice eye for what works together.

I don't have any criticism, other than what you probably already know: Keep adding content. :) Also, I agree a contact form would be helpful. If you put a regular ole mailto on the web you'll get a ton of spambots crawling it and sending you stuff.

Thank you very much!

I'll have to look into adding a content form, thanks for the tip. I hate spam. :)

You definitely have a future in Web Design and Development!
