General Discussion

Looking for study buddy/collaborate/group.

I keep getting distracting from the topic.I go really fast and then all of sudden I find myself distracted and not continuing anymore. I am looking for people to study/work on project together so we can keep our self together in track.

I am from Utah, anyone local interested in meetup would be awesome but online collaboration is good too. Email me anildgl@gmail.com

Although I really feel that a group can be a very useful resource, you don't specify what topic you would like to concentrate on. Do you want a collaborative group on CSS, HTML, JS, PHP, Android, or iOS? Honing in on one topic may be the best way to go.

I agree honing in one topic is best way to go. I am open to any topic because I find myself equally interested in web, android or ios development.

My advice is for you to personally choose one topic, and then start a request for a group in that topic.

Try beginning with the end in mind. Pick a specific goal (like a certain project) and learn what is needed to achieve that precise goal. Learning about the web for the purpose of learning about the web is a recipe for procrastination because it's an unobtainable goal.

Good idea, lots of good advice too.

I'm down for study buddy for Html/Css mostly. Afterwards I'm open to Javascript and PHP.

I am looking for online study partners as well. Currently I am on CSS and I absolutly feel you on this. Stopping and than racing fast, than stopping. Racing Fast.

Hey Cory, still interested in a study partner? I'm in a similar situation: I work quite a bit on my treehouse stuff and then find I stop as other things get in the way.

Brendan,

Yes absolutly. How would you prefer to go about doing this?

Corey

oops, posted a reply below, not sure if you'll get notified for that

I'm not sure exactly,

maybe collaborate on some sample projects or just chat about what we're working on? My email is brendan[at]redvanstudio.com
