Lost File - HTML Deep Dive

So I open Notepad as my text file, then save it as an html. How do I find the txt file again the next day? I can only find the html files and not the file I was writing on ....

You have to right click the html file, then go to "Edit with notepad", if you see that option, or "Open with" and find your notepad editor.
