main storyboard seems to be set to iPad size when working on iPhone

I am working through the excellent swift apps with Pasan and my main.stroyboard seems to be set to a much larger view. I am working on iPhone and it looks like iPad.

Any help resizing this would be really appreciated.

Basically you have to disable size classes when aiming for a specific type of device only.

You need to turn off size classes.
