Courses Plus Student 1,254 PointsMaking changes to my website once it is launched on the internet.
I am at the part of the first course on building at which I am ready to get a domain and launch the website to the internet. This is my first website, and I realize that it is very basic, but once it is launched I can still make changes to it I hope. Like I said, I am new and have been using the treehouse workspaces, but will I need to get my own text editor. I assume that I could make changes as the more courses I take and the more I learn will encourage me to make changes, right? Thank you in advance for any help.

Courses Plus Student 1,254 PointsSo I would just go through the host to type up the additional code?

10,105 PointsTo make changes to your website once it launches, you have to open the file saved on your computer that you want to edit (html, css, javascript, etc...) then make your changes and save the edits. After doing that, use the ftp tool to upload the edited file from your computer to your website and replace the old file in your host directory. I hope that helps.

844 PointsYes, you would need to go through the host, obviously after having the newer code information saved.

844 PointsYou can update it, whoever is hosting that domain can update the coding information, the same way they uploaded it at first.
