malware after video ending? what?

After this video ended, my Avast antivirus program noticed me about blocking a malware on this page with name "api.segment.io/v1/p" and branded it as malware. This happened before on a different computer too on one of the videos of this course.

Should I be concerned, or is this just perhaps some weird avast behaviour?

I googled segment.io, it seems to just be a service to integrate user data into multiple third-party analytics providers. You can find their website at segment.com. I don't know why Avast would flag it, but it should be just fine. Perhaps you'd be interested in sharing what message Avast is giving you about Segment api call?

I don't see a way of reviewing past reports in Avast. I'll have to wait and see if I get the message again, and I'll screen-cap it. Eventually I will forward it further to Avast and teamtreehouse for further investigation if the problem occurs again.

After googling "VBS:Malware-gen", it seems that today Avast has been flooding people with false reports from random trustworthy services including Google, Twitch and Amazon. Avast must have made a mistake in their most recent change. Nothing to worry about.

Ah, thank you very much. That clears off the confusion!
