ok, I think I might have your back. Try turning off ALL other applications and then restarting MAMP, if you have, for example skype running, it will block the one of the ports that MAMP needs to run.

Thank you I really appreciate it but I still have the same problem… :(

uhhh.... that might be all I can do for you, I'm on a PC right now, so I can't play with mamp to help =< Did you turn on the apache server? If you click the mamp icon it should show a little window, You should have the ability to turn on apache there?

I clicked the button "Start Servers" but de icon "Apache Server" is disabled. :( I really appreciate it your answer.

Quit MAMP Open the terminal and type: killall -9 mysqld

Restart MAMP

Thank you I really appreciate your answer but I still have the same problem… :(

Hey there, I had a similar issue a few months ago. Here is what I tried...

Check folder called ‘log’ inside MAMP’s folder under applications (/Applications/MAMP/logs)

Open up the the ‘apache_error.log’ The Apache Log file should list an error of why the MAMP’s Apache server is not running/disabled….

Choose reset and try starting the MAMP server again. Please post your error message or/and google the message to start you on the correct path to resolve the issue.

I hope this helps. Steven

I've been searching but.. nothing. :(

This is my problem…

"[Fri Dec 27 22:04:48 2013] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down"

Another tool?. :(

Here's another tool for you if MAMP is really being a problem. Sometimes if you can't get one method to work for you, and there is an equally viable alternative that might be easier to use; It's better to abandon the first method.

This is zend server, I haven't used it personally, but give it a shot? http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/run-a-local-php-web-server-on-mac-os-x-with-zend-server/

Hey!.

thank you so much I'm really interested. (:

Good job troubleshooting your own issue. Rock on with your bad self :guitar:

Oh, that's a strange issue. I'm glad you solved your problem though.

I wanted to post to note that this also fixed a problem I was having where I was getting a 404 error when clicking on the 'open start page' It was extremely frustrating and took me about a week trying different fixes. Now I can move on in the program. I hope this saves someone else time!
