I downloaded and purchased MAMP Pro, I am working through "your first php file" project and I cannot get my test.php site to show up using MAMP Pro. The only thing that shows on the browser when I follow the instructions in the video is....Forbidden, you do not have permission to access / on this server.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide to setting up and running my php code on MAMP Pro? Thank you!

4,558 PointsIf James' suggestion doesn't work, it may also relate to indexes. By default, MAMP Pro's indexes option is switched off, which means your browser will give the Forbidden error when you try to access a directory rather than a file.
In MAMP Pro, under Hosts > Advanced, check the Indexes option then Apply and restart the server.

If you need some help with how to do that, check out this guide on how to set file permissions on OS X
