Margin challenge problem

The challenge says: Select the ID wrapper, set it to a max width of 940 pixels, and then center it on the page using the margin property.

My answer is:

wrapper {

max-width:940px; margin:center; }

What's wrong?

Patricia is right.

margin: 0 auto;

Means this:

  • margin-top: 0
  • margin-bottom: 0
  • margin-right: automatic
  • margin-left: automatic

You cannot center a margin using the word "center". You have to use "0 auto".

wrapper {
    max-width: 940px;
    margin: 0 auto;
}
