JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Working With Numbers Using Math Methods

Why Cannot I use Math.floor (temperature) for this challenge?

I tried Math.round (Math.floor (temperature)); and Math.floor (temperature);

var temperature = 37.5;

Math.round (Math.floor(temperature));

alert (temperature);

Calling Math.round or Math.floor by themselves will not change the value of your temperature variable. You either need to store their value in a new variable:

var temperature = 37.5;
var roundedTemperature = Math.round(temperature);

Or, use it directly as the value to be returned:

var temperature = 37.5;

In the first part of this challenge, you need to use Math.round, in the second one you need to create a new alert, but using Math.floor this time.

Worked! Thank you!

Its because the answer is expecting 2 alerts. round then alert, floor then alert.
