media queries download time - Doesn't the Sass style of writing media queries beat the objectices

So in the video media queries are written in a way that Sass writes the media queries individually instead of grouping to matching media queries. The Cascading nature of CSS doesn't get misused by using the mobile first approach in the media queries.

So I wonder if it really is a benefit to write the CSS with media queries in the style used in this video
