CSS How to Make a Website Responsive Web Design and Testing Refactor the Layout

Media Query

The question states.. 'Inside the media query, select the list items inside the gallery and add a width of 28.3333%."

I wrote: @media screen and (min-width: 480px) {

gallery li {

width: 28.3333%; } }

I have checked several times but cannot figure out I dont know what I am doing wrong.. Can anyone tell me why the challenge does not accept my answer?

It keeps saying Bummer! Be sure to set the width of gallery list items to 28.3333% when the browser is wider than 480px...

css/main.css
@media screen and (min-width:480px){
    #gallery li{
     width: 28.3333%;

  }

}

a {
  text-decoration: none;
}

#wrapper {
  max-width: 940px;
  margin: 0 auto;
}

#logo {
  text-align: center;
  margin: 0;
}

h1, h2 {
  color: #fff;
}

nav a {
  color: #fff;
}

nav a:hover {

}

#gallery {

Your code is correct, but you should put it in the end of your CSS or after the #gallery li rule. The way you have it now it gets overridden later in the CSS file.

Thanks, I will remember about your advice.

Yes I have got it! @media screen and (min-width:480px){ #gallery li{
max-width: 28.3333%;

}

} just to add max-width
