I currently have a site that I co-built and I need to duplicate the site (with different content) for a society I am apart of. One of the requests is to have a Sign-Up / Log-In section for Members. This would have to be approved by the Admin prior to an individual gains access to the member section. The member section basically will display additional pages on the site like news articles and documents for just the members to read and share.
Does anyone have experience setting something like this up and would be willing to help? If so, comment back and we can work out the finer details (price, time, etc).
Thanks!

1,614 PointsI think there are more experienced users here that can help you but what you are asking for isn't that difficult. I have done something similar using php and mysql. You use sessions so anyone who is not logged in cannot access the page. As for admin you can just create another field in your login table and default the value to 0 and then the administrator will change that value to one for approval. It sounds confusing but it isn't. I would look at some online articles and have a go yourself. If it fails then get some assistance.

7,743 PointsHello, what you need can be easily developed in backend languages such as PHP, C#. I do specialize in ASP.NET with C#.
However, a better alternative would be for you to do it yourself. Hook yourself up with some Wordpress tutorials from treehouse and take a look at this plugin which fits into your requirements. I used this plugin for an existing client.
