Menu styling not correct

Before you spend ages (as I did) trying to sort this out and re-checking all your code, go back to the dashboard - appearance - menus and make sure you have the 'primary menu' box checked under the menu settings. If this is not checked then your styling does not apply. The importance of this point is not really made clear earlier in the video.
