Messaging App Layout

I have a huge question! I'm trying to make a messaging app but i don't know how to make the layout for the messaging part, for example on the left side should be the received messages and on the right side the sent ones, how can i adapt them on a layout, and also should i be doing two diferent adapters, one for each side? Note: I'm using parse as backend. Thanks in advance!!!!!
