method 1 challenge

I'm trying to do the unshift fuction for the spareWords array, but it keeps coming up with a error message saying that im missing the shift function. Can you please help me and tell me what im doing wrong.

var spareWords=["The","chimney","sweep's","dog"]
console.log(spareWords.toString);
spareWords.unshift("firstWord")

The question should be reworded a bit... The challenge wants you to set the variable firstWord, to the value returned when calling shift on the array spareWords.

var firstWord = spareWords.shift();

Took me a few tries, to understand what is they wanted.
