i don't really seem to understand the question, maybe it should be worded differently.
"On line 18, use a method on the 'spareWords' to set 'firstWord' to be first word of the 'spareWords' array whilst simultaneously removing it from the beginning of the array."
maybe someone can elaborate a little for me.

21,326 PointsWhat the challenge is looking for is to set the firstWord variable to the first word in the spareWords array and remove it from the array at the same time. That can be accomplished by using .shift(). It would look something like this:
var firstWord = spareWords.shift();
