Hi Dennis,

You need to include the last chunk of code (from line 22 downwards) into a function called main that takes no parameters.

So, above the call to show_help() add a new method called main which takes no parameters:

def main():

Then, indent all the lines below that in one tab and you're done!

I hope that helps,

Steve.

Thanks Steve, I see where i missed that def main() request. But it still fails, even if i indent. Is there any way that we can see where we indented incorrectly?

That's odd - how did you indent? I use the auto-indent by highlighting all the lines below main() not including that line, then using Command & ] (I'm on a Mac); Windows you can use Ctrl+] (closing square bracket).

So, you end up with:

def main():
    show_help()

    # make a list to hold onto our items
    shopping_list = []

    while True:
        # ask for new items
        new_item = input("> ")

        # be able to quit the app
        if new_item == 'DONE':
            break
        elif new_item == 'HELP':
            show_help()
            continue
        elif new_item == 'SHOW':
            show_list(shopping_list)
            continue
        add_to_list(shopping_list, new_item)

    show_list(shopping_list)

Nothing else changes.

Steve.

I had to restart the exercise to be able to indent it again and pass. Thanks for the help.

Glad you got it fixed. :+1: :smile:
