Mistake

MenuItem do not support method .setVisibility(int visibility) it has method setVisible(boolean visible)

The log message clearly asks you to use following method for menuitems

yourmenuitem.setVisible(true) instead of

someview.setvisibility(View.VISIBLE) which is used for child classes of view class.
