Money for Friday

I seriously cannot figure this code out and it is bugging me. Please help, I though that if I had $9 or less that it would work but I suppose not.

} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");

  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");

Hi Hanna! Good attempt! One of the main issues with the script is that it's checking for a value of money OR if it's Friday. As it is Friday, this means the first condition will always be true, so, each condition needs to be the value of money AND if it's Friday. Also, the last else if statement is checking if it's NOT equal to Friday when it should be equal like so:

} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");    
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {

} else if ( today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");   
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}
