Game Development

Mono Develop not running.

When I go to the C# player movement file and open I get visual studio instead of mono develop. Can I still write code in visual studio? I followed all instructions to a t, I must be doing something wrong. I have mono develop in my program files so I know the program is there. Please help, thanks. Matt
