24,862 PointsMore accurate ETA for the JavaScript basics course?
It says October, which is now, but I'm very interested in this course. Just curious if there is a more accurate ETA that treehouse would be willing to share... One week? Two weeks? XD

Treehouse TeacherHi Richard Nash
I wish I could give you an exact time: we have a TON of courses going through the pipeline now: Python, Java, Ruby, WordPress, PHP, CSS, Swift, Android. Many of these courses, including JavaScript Basics, have been recorded, but to achieve the high quality of our videos and courses we do a lot of important post-production work including video and sound editing. Our production staff are working as hard as they can to get our courses out. The best I can give is a tentative date: of the 27th, but don't hold me to it.
Believe me, there's absolutely NO ONE that's more anxious for this course to get out than me.

7,681 PointsHi, will this course be replacing JavaScript foundations on any of the Tracks?
I am facilitating a group of high school students through the Rails Development track. We have completed Intro To Programming and Ruby Basics and are planning to start the JavaScript Foundations course shortly. I am wondering if I should wait until the JavaScript basics course is ready.
Thanks!

Treehouse TeacherHi David,
JavaScript Basics + JavaScript Loops, Arrays and Objects (a course that's currently in production) will replace the JavaScript Foundations course. However, the second course won't be ready until the end of the year, so we won't be "replacing" JavaScript foundations in any Track until that course is complete. However, I do think the JavaScript Basics course (when it comes out) is a good place for your students to start. They could then move to the JavaScript foundations course -- some of the material will be repeated (but, hey, that's a great way to learn) and some will be new.
