General Discussion

most common?

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know how most of then web designers out there build their websites? I read about how people use bootstrap, word press, dreamweaver etc. how is the best way to learn after watching the videos? They are great tutorials but I still don't know how to go about building the affective website. Hope this makes sense.

Miguel

Develop your own technique, along with the videos you need to be putting that into practise watch the video over and over till it sticks read blogs like CSS-Tricks, follow developers on twitter, read the W3C and jQeury docs look at sites you like and inspect the markup.

Explore WordPress, PHP, Ruby, JS, HTML, CSS etc and see what you prefer, or where your talents are.

Ditch dreamweaver and go for sublime text 3. Play with Bootstrap but read the docs see what the classes you add are doing.

I really think you need to be a little obsessive with your learning and have a genuine passion to do it.
