20,597 PointsMotion Design Courses in the works?
Hi all i use dribbble a lot and have been really interested in some of the motion graphics on there especially the character ones like so cool example here.
I recently saw some of Mat Helme work and it made me want to learn more about this but i can't seem to find anywhere also there's no topics on the future roadmaps where you can request a course like this since there isn't a design section.
I just wanted to know if there would be any courses in the future that teach motion design or if this post could be considered as a request?
Ryan Carson Nick Pettit Thanks :)

Treehouse TeacherHi Tunde Adegoroye,
Thanks for bringing this up!
We don't have any plans for motion courses, so for now, it's a great suggestion. :) That said, it's certainly becoming a more popular trend in web design. For example, Google has placed a big emphasis on motion with their Material Design language; it's likely that others will do the same and codify animation principles.
We're always investigating developing topic areas, so if it's something we think all our students should learn or could benefit from, then we'll teach it.

Treehouse TeacherHi Tunde Adegoroye,
Also, check out this awesome talk by Val Head titled Web Designer/Motion Designer. She walks you through how to think like a motion designer when adding animations and transitions to your web work. :)

3,472 PointsSame! As a UX Designer this has been coming up more and more. I have been trying to find courses on motion design, but I am not finding a lot out there. Most of what I am finding is related to Game Design. Things like Daz3D, Animate Studio Pro, Poser, Maya, and After Effects keep coming up and I'm not sure where to even start. Would be awesome if that was something you offered :)

20,597 PointsIf you want to use Motion Design in your prototypes i'd have a look at PrincipleApp it's so nice and easy to use. Test it out i was able to create this using it https://dribbble.com/shots/2425982-Corral-App-Onboarding

3,472 PointsSweet! Thanks Tunde Adegoroye . Looks great by the way. I have used Keynote to show some animation like that before since it is super quick and easy.
Will it work for Desktop Application Design? We are not doing a lot of mobile, currently just SaaS type stuff. So I have been using Invision and Sketch mostly to create some animation styles. But I will check it out and see if it fits what we need. We also are starting to do a lot of video work for marketing purposes and that was another reason I was looking into motion design.

20,597 PointsYes you can use it for any device here is the link http://principleformac.com check out some of their examples. If you've used Sketch3 before it's very similar.
