Hi!

Someone requested a course on this, which I plan to do using the plugin WPML, which is the primary plugin out there.

Hiya Zac,

Been working my way through the WordPress Development track the past month, really enjoying it.

I'm also in the middle of a project requiring some multilingual work...and chose WPML with no prior knowledge of it since it did seem like the de facto standard out there for WordPress. I've basically taught myself the basics of it, translating page content and menus. But now comes the fun part...swapping out different images based on the chosen language.

So glad to hear there is a tutorial in the works, curious on how soon we might see it?

Or if you'll take specific questions here in the forums should I hit any major roadblocks before your videos are out?

And yeah, that's a specific topic request for the vids if you can... ;)

...i.e. how to display different images depending on language. I'm thinking of images with a logotype as part of the image, as part of the theme's header design. Although a how to on swapping language-dependant images within the page content itself would be a nice bonus too. And hey, while I'm going crazy, images (or other content) within a widget...or displaying entirely different widgets depending on language. OK, I'll stop!

Even if your tutorial doesn't make it out soon, still a good topic to cover in it I'd think, for all those learning the ins and outs of WPML.

Thanks!!

Hi Zac, awesome. It would be nice if you can talk about and give an example of free ones also. Thanks :)

Hey man, I can't really speak to them much. That one is definitely the industry standard though.
