Im getting the following error 'must have a listview whos id must be android.R.id.list'

We talk about this in the videos, though I don't know if it's before or after the "What to Do When the Network is Down" video.

Anyhow, your ListView element in the layout should have the id "@android:id/list", like this:

    <ListView
        android:id="@android:id/list"
        android:layout_width="match_parent"
        android:layout_height="match_parent"
        android:layout_alignParentLeft="true"
        android:layout_alignParentTop="true" >
    </ListView>
