Android Build a Simple Android App with Java Testing and Debugging Running an App on a Device

My android icon is still the default android image. I changed the images in mipmap.

I didn't change the ic_launcher.xml. is that the reason? there was no file provided for that. Thank-you in advance.

Yeah, I had this same problem back on an earlier lesson. I think since he is using an older version of Android Studio that the file does not exist for him. To fix it, just delete the XML file. This will make the app use one of the image files and should solve the issue.
