my apple tv is not listed in the available devices

are there anyone who can airplay from ipad over to the apple tv ? The airplay icon on the bottom right of the screen wont work. What i do is drag the screen up and choose airplay there. It works but subtitles remain the ipad . and video stops everytime ipad sleeps.

So the AirPlay icon is present, but does nothing when you tap on it?

when i tab it list of available devices show up. my apple tv isnt there.

Both devices need to be on the same WiFi network. Also I've had connectivity issues with my AppleTV and usually rebooting fixes it. Do you have a Mac, and if so does it see the AppleTV under the AirDisplay options in the menu bar?

its not an airplay issue. It works fine with every other idevice i have. Its just the treehouse app that doesnt want to play.

Have you tried other apps on your iPad? With the AirPlay APIs there's nothing we can do after you select your AppleTV in the app. I just tried watching a video with my AppleTV and it worked as expected.

I've had 3 other support issues related to the AppleTV, I suspect an update was just pushed. The solution to all the issues was reboot your AppleTV.
