My browser keeps crashing when I attempt to play Tree House video lessons

I am attempting to play the video lessons on my Mac computer. My computer was manufactured in early 2006. EMC number is 2105. It has a Intel Duo Core processor running at 2Ghz. The computer has 2 GB of RAM installed. The computer has a 1TB hard drive. The RAM and the hard drive are new as of this year. The operating system installed on the hard drive is OS X 10.68 "Snow Leopard". Firefox browser crashes when I attempt to view video lessons. Chrome browser also crashes when I attempt to view video lessons. I am wondering what the issue might be. Please advise.

By the way, I have no problems view videos on YouTube, ESPN, and other various News outlets. I am only having a problem view video lessons on Tree House and Code School.

i've had the same issues using a mac and i updated my browsers to the current versions and they worked fine then....if that doesn't work you could download the videos for offline viewing??

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give downloading a try. As for updating my browsers, I have the most update browsers for my operating system. The problem is: My operating system is so old that browser updates are no longer being made for my operating system. I think it may be time to buy a new computer. Unfortunately, it will be some time before I can buy a new computer with an up to date operating system and an up to date sixty-four bit architecture.

I'd suggest you email Treehouse support at help@teamtreehouse.com with all the details.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just downloaded the Opera web browser and that seems to be working for me at the moment. If I have any additional problems I will be sure to email Treehouse support for help.

I'm suspecting you might have an extension installed in both Chrome and Firefox. Because Opera uses the same rendering engine as Chrome so that's kinda weird.
