My else statement isnt being recognized in the console and i keep getting parse errors

} else if (isStudent = 9) {
    alert('Welcome student');

else (both = 18){
  alert("Who are you?");
}

else statements do not need the (both = 18), the else statement will run if any of the previous conditions are not met. If you delete the condition from your else statement, you should be good to go.

Oh sorry, you want double equals signs as well, "==" in your conditional statements
