So before I had a website with Wix. Now this is my new and improved website. This is my first one with skills with coding, and actually knowing what i was doing. Now my next challenge is to make it responsive.

39,199 PointsYour wallpaper and 2 banners are nearly 1MB in size. For comparison's sake the entire site is only 1.6MB. Those 3 images are tripling your page load time.

31,206 PointsYou're repeating a lot of the same information/imagery on the page. The scrolling images are pretty much unreadable to a lot of people I imagine.
You should watch Nick's videos about accessibility. Not only is it good information for a professional to know, but it will help you with best practices as well. That's great you'd like to go responsive. I'd actually recommend doing a complete overhaul and redesigning with a Mobile First methodology.
