My logcat isn't showing any errors

In Android Development - Building an Interactive Story App - Getting Data from an Intent, we come across a compile error during the lesson where Ben shows what the problem is using his logcat. My compiler (Event Log) picks up the error, but the logcat does not point to the error. The only output my logcat it gives me is:

I'm using the most recent Android Studio 0.9.9.

How would I get my logcat to show me a readout? Thanks
