My Network panel looks absolutely nothing like Nick's. Is that because I am on a PC?

Google has updated Chrome and the Devtools a lot in the meantime, including a lot of rearrangement and rethinking. The basics are all there you just have to do some work interpreting how the information Nick shows us how to access is displayed in the latest version.

Here is the latest version of Google's Devtools documentation.

Unfortunately it seems to also suffer from some out-of-date information, but that's part of the joy of this field, it moves quickly!

As the OP said, it is different from the video. The first icon to the left of "Preserve log", under "View:", if you hover over it, it will read "Hide Overview". It is a toggle button. Click it once and it will match the view shown in the video.

Hey Jason, thanks for the response. Ya I'm using Chrome. How would I attach a screenshot here so I can show you what I'm seeing?

Mine does as well. It probably has more to do with Google Chrome updated the panel.
