My new website www.aloevera-local.co.uk

Good day all, I have just launched a new website with URL: www.aloevera-local.co.uk It is for a fictitious company manufacturing and selling aloe vera products. Naturally the website is to be intended as a practical exercise. I would love to hear from you regarding what you think about layout, overall design (there is not that much) and above all coding. There are certainly some areas to be improved and I am aware that there is so much to learn. Thanks for you cooperation.

Fantastic! I would add the search bar to the header instead of making it its own page but that is simply a personal choice. Good job!

I'm not advanced enough to help you with the coding. But I just wanted to tell you that I love the look of your website!

Great job. :)

Nice touch with the modal on the Add to Cart button. Heheh.

I would like to see the links and buttons that are blue to be more in line with your colour scheme; they don't seem to fit to me.

Don't forget to add lang="en" to your <html> tag. ;p

Thanks for your comment Sean, Do you have any suggestions for the colors? I guess the links should be an easy guess and I will probably go for a black. Regarding the blue buttons are you referring to the search page and the contact page or there is anything else you have spotted? What do you think about the flashy navigation buttons? Please let me know! Thanks. Giuseppe

Good day Sean, I have done a few changes in the code: 1) implemented meta charset="utf-8" and html lang="en" 2) changed color to black for the links 3) changed color for the buttons in the contact and search page. Best Regards.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

The look is getting better for sure.

Please, don't take what I say as negative; it is meant to be constructive.

On the products page, when I hover over the 'view details' the links turn blue still.

The green used for the buttons are saturated compared to the active green in the menu. I would like to see more of that shade or a median between the two shades of green. Also I really like the orange in the logo, yet it is not utilized elsewhere.

Again, though, great work and it's nice to see you wanting to get better via feedback and such. Cheers.

Thanks Sean for the quick feedback. No, I did not take it as a negative comment. I will implement the changes in colors in a few days - fingers crossed it should look better. I had actually thought to make some of the action buttons orange (to mirror the logo color) by using the warning class but then I wondered why the Treehouse Teachers always use the green for the action buttons. Talk you soon.
