My SDK does not offer an option to install the Android Support Library, Can I proceed the course without it?

How can I install the Android Support Library? Is it still relevant for this course since I have heard it became obsolete?

The support libraries are still quite relevant, since they provide backwards-compatibility for older versions of Android. They just changed specifics of how they're incorporated. The new instructions to include support libraries are here: https://developer.android.com/topic/libraries/support-library/setup.html
