MySQL server not turning green

What should I do of MySQL server in MAMP is not turning green?

OK, just in case, have you tried restarting MAMP, then your computer ? :-)

If yes, go to MAMP settings -> Ports and try setting MAMP ports to default (there is a button for that).

Restart MAMP

Yay! I was having this issue to and changing the port back to default fixed it. Thanks :D Does anyone know why this is the case?

Do you think deleting MAMP and reinstall it might be a good idea?

Sorry, for the late answer. Jup, you could reinstall MAMP and see if that solves the issue.

Before reinstalling try this: Quit MAMP. Then open the "Activity Monitor" App on your Mac (just hit "CMD + Space" to start Spotlight and then type "Activity Monitor")

In "Activity Monitor" there is a search field on the top right. Search for "mysqld". In the search results kill this process by clicking on the left top icon in the toolbar (Forces process to quit). Restart MAMP and check if it now works.
