Navicon

I'm interested in adding a navicon (hamburger button, 3 line navigation bar, or one of many other names) that you find on mobile devices to my responsive design web page when it's in mobile view. I'm not sure how to go about this. Ideally I'd like to know how to either create it using bootstrap or from scratch using HTML/css/js or similar. Does anyone have any experience with this.

Use media queries to hide the menu and display the hamburg icon.

Thanks, media queries were helpful in making this happen!
