There are a few issues with your code, firstly the challenge wants you to check if the string is LESS than three characters long, not greater than three characters.

Indentation matters in python, so having the if clause indented incorrectly will cause issues as well. Also, the return statement needs to go at the end of a function, or at a point you think it should terminate, hopefully having a look at my code will help as well:

def suggest(product_idea):
    if len (product_idea) < 3:
        raise ValueError("idea is too short")
    return product_idea + "inator"
