Need some help/advice/direction.

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but i don't know where else to go.

Where can i find developers and their portfolio's? I run a sock company and we need some work done on our website. Specifically we sell our socks in packs, at the moment the packs contain 8 and 16 socks but with new socks coming in the next few months we want to add a feature that will randomize the packs. So in the packs product page you click a button that says "make my pack" and it shuffles the socks and makes you a pack, you can continue to shuffle until you are happy. Then once you place the order it somehow lets us know what pack you created. You can see something similar on the MeUndies website when you create a pack.

I wish i was able to do this but it's a little far out of my league, i'm not even sure if this is Java, PHP or Ruby. Hopefully i can get some help from the treehouse community as i'm really enjoying being a part of it!

And moderators i apologise if posting a question like this is against forum rules.

Thanks guys, Sam

Hey Samuel,

I don't see any rules being broken, and I really hope that you are able to find a Treehouse student to assist you.

Depending on where you are geographically, I'm sure there are places you could post your request and developers would send you links to their portfolios. Also, you could try Google. Just search for <where you are> + "web developer" + portfolios. I'm sure you should be able to find something/someone... though I do hope someone from Treehouse can satisfy your need.

Good luck with your search and your project. :dizzy:

Thanks Jason!

Yeah was hoping i would get some help from the community before i look for someone local. Jason, what kind of development would this be? Any web developer would be able to help me out?

Don't be shy guys, could be a great chance to collaborate and work on something cool together!

Sincerely, Sam
