10,415 PointsNeither FTP nor SFTP?
I bought a domain two three months ago from webhosting for students.com. I installed the 1 click wordpress directly from c panel. I installed the canvas theme. Now I want to connect to my ftp or sftp server through m filzilla client, cyber duck, or simply the browser. I have tried all I could think of. I flushed the dns, double checked my password, tried to change the transfer option from FTP to SFTP from Site manager option, tried to directly access the ftp or sftp site from browser. The sftp login page doesn't show up in browser either, showing error. The ftp address in browser demands the login and password but when I enter the correct info there , a message pops up saying , Critical Error: Failed login authentication or something like that.I need to practice the videos and can't connect to either ftp or sftp. I have asked from the site via support ticket but it is very slow to response. And my precious time is being wasted. Please somebody help me.

Courses Plus Student 45,640 PointsSometimes it all comes down to the port number you use. What hosting provider are you using? I may be able to help but sometimes it's better to contact your hosting company directly and they'll tell you the necessary settings needed.

10,415 PointsOk thanks for the reply. Actually my Wordpress login username and c panel username were different and I forgot that they were different indeed. So after attempting a couple of times I suddenly remembered my c panel username and finally succeeded. So in the Filezilla I entered c panel username and it finally connected. I am happy now.
