When I begin a new NetBeans PHP project a whole slew of files and folders including index.php files open up in the project. Do I need to keep any of this or can I delete all but the main project folder?
Which version of Netbeans do you use ? I have as well this IDE. I've used it a little bit. And from what I know It doesn't create extra files, only the index.php.
It probably depends on the way you create the project.
What I do is : File>New Project>PHP - PHP Application >
There fill the inputs, project names and etc... It's as well a good idea to check the checkbox "put the netbeans metada into a separate directory". Better if you use GIT.
and that's all...
