New Product in ride sharing

Hi,

I would like to come up with new ride sharing app and My competitors are Uber and Lyft. How should I go about conducting User Research to uncover the user needs and figure out is there a need for new product ?

Thanks.

Hi Kiran,

The easiest thing I'd recommend would be to look at user experiences by way of public sites like Reddit. Check out both the employees' and customers' most common complaints or feature requests. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

However, ride sharing is a very competitive field so this may not be enough. Newer apps would have to differentiate themselves by doing something unique or more niche than existing services in order to be competitive.

Good luck!
