General Discussion

Newbie equipment question.

I am just beginning my treehouse journey and I'm wondering if I will be able to complete the tracks with a chromebook or if I'll need to get something with download capabilities?

I have the same question, just started the HTML deep dive. Thanks!

Sorry I meant to add a comment not answer, I wasn't paying attention. =(

No worries. :)

You will need to download and upload files

You won't absolutely need to download files, but it helps. If you can create HTML and CSS files (I'm assuming that's what you're learning currently, if not, change that :P), you should be able to easily follow along.

I haven't downloaded any files off of here yet and i've done quite a few lessons so far. I just take notes with paper and then practice using my own practice projects.

Chromebook will work fine for the lessons, however, most of the technologies and code languages taught do require some advanced programs. Depending on what you are looking to learn, you may need to download additional programs.

I don't have a chromebook but can't you something like Neutron Drive to edit the files directly on your webhosting?
