Ok, I must have missed something. I am totally new to this. In the first part of this video it's telling me to try typing the header. Do I need to have a software installed on my laptop to follow along?

You will need a text editor for upcoming portions of the project. Nick will go into a bit more detail about text editors in the next section. For now, just watch the videos, no need to do anything on your own just yet.
