Next and Previous buttons with JQuery

I'm trying to get next and previous buttons to work with JQuery to cycle through projects in an overlay. I've managed to get the next button to work but it only works once. When I click the next button again, nothing happens.

Can anyone help me to see where I'm going wrong?
