No luck in 2 column layout

I am taking front end web development and on first project, during creating the page for mobile site, the pictures are suppose to show in a 2 column layout. I have reviewed the videos all over but no luck. Can you please help me out figure out what I am doing wrong?

Hi there! You're actually doing really well. The problem here is that your page contains two separate unordered lists. One in the navigation and one in the gallery section. You've managed to assign the id of "gallery" to the one in your navigation instead of the one in your gallery.

You have this in your html file:

 <nav>
        <ul id="gallery">
          <li><a href="index.html"class="selected">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>

Remove the id of gallery from that unordered list and put it here:

  <div id="wrapper">
      <section>
        <ul id = "gallery">

When I make these changes, everything appears as it should. Hope this helps! :sparkles:
