No WordPress Courses = No TeamTreeHouse Support...Membership Unequality

I'm profound by the reasoning TeamTreeHouse is no longer offering WordPress Education? I should say new & continuely updated WordPress education material. If you are intending to bring a new WordPress teacher team that's ok but if your intention isn't to have new material...Count my membership out.

I'm going to Cancel it because it's Absurd.

Hey Julian,

We greatly appreciate your concern. Rest assured that Treehouse will continue to offer our quality WordPress content to students for the foreseeable future.

It's going to be tough to replace and continue without Zac's personality and energy.

:(

Hey Jason, I understand your concern. Zac had a ton of energy and personality :) Don't worry though, we're great at finding wonderful teachers with passion and expertise.

Thanks Ryan Carson. I hope so. That's one of the biggest draws to Treehouse. All the teachers are so passionate, and their energy helps to fuel and further our learning, and I was just getting into WordPress full-time.

:)

I couldn't find any announcement on the Treehouse site about Zac Gordon being fired or laid off

(which is interesting in and of itself)

but here is the announcement on his blog about being let go:

I think (or it seems to me) people managing platforms like Treehouse forget the fact that there are humans behind computers learning and we develop a relationship with people like Zac even though we don't know him personally.

It is important to let us know officially what happened to Zac and his roll in Treehouse.

Treehouse is for us students the same as a Universitiy campus or college. We come here day after day.

Zac was our teacher, not a robot or machine.

His profile link throws a Bummer! error. It should in my humble opinion throw a little thank you note for Zac for his services and an acknowledgment citing he won't be part of the Treehouse any longer.

On the other hand, I use Treahouse to support my theme development learning as a main tool for the time being. So it would be nice to see all this WordPress courses and more progress as WP itself moves on with new updates, etc.

That just has to be a bad joke ... I was looking forward to finding more & up-to-date courses on WordPress here.

What makes Treehouse give up on improving existing courses and teaching new stuff about this great platform?

... what a pitty.

That's right Zag was our teacher!
