node/express runs in my localhost using 'nodemon' but does not work in live server in digital ocean

Referring to this course: User Authentication With Express and Mongo

I am in S2V3 and It works in my localhost. I uploaded all folders and installed node, express and dependencies. I go to this: myIPaddress:3000 and it does not work. But it works in localhost:3000

How do I make it run in my server in digitalocean. Please, please kindly give "detailed" steps to make it work.
