CSS How to Make a Website Customizing Colors and Fonts Use Color in CSS

None of my css will implement into my index.html. What am I missing? It has to be small.

This is my HTML:

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8"> <title>Nick Pettit</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/normalize.css"> <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css"> </head> <body> <header> <a href="index.html"> <h1>Nick Pettit</h1> <h2>Designer</h2> </a> <nav> <ul> <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li> </ul> </nav> </header> <section> <ul> <li> <img src="img/numbers-01.jpg" alt=""> </li> <li> <img src="img/numbers-02.jpg" alt=""> </li> <li> <img src="img/numbers-06.jpg" alt=""> </li> </ul> </section> <footer> <a href="http://www.facebook.com"><img src="img/facebook-wrap.png" alt="Facebook Logo"></a> <a href="http://www.twitter.com/nutsacc"><img src="img/twitter-wrap.png" alt="Twitter Logo"> </a> <p>Ā© 2013 Nick Pettit.</p> </footer> </body> </html>

This is my CSS:

a { text-decoration: none; }

wrapper {

max-width: 940px; margin: 0 auto; padding: 0 5%; }

logo {

text-align: center; margin: 0; }

header { color: #6ab47b; border-color: FBE1FB; }

h1,h2 { color: #fff; }

nav a, nav visited { color:fff; }

I'm going to go nuts!

Peter Kincaid, the first four lines need to be within head tags.

Replace the first four lines with the following:

<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Nick Pettit</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/normalize.css">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/main.css">
</head>

Hope this helps!

This did not fix it. :(

Please show us your updated code :-)

Your 'meta', 'title', and 'link' tags all belong inside of a 'head' tag; wrap them all with one <head></head> and see if that fixes it.
