Did you finish this track with Android Studios? How was it? Because it seems to me that a lot of people are running into problems and unable to finish this track.

There were A LOT of small issues like incompatibility between eclipse and android studio. The forums were super helpful but could only go so far. I downloaded Android studio and eclipse and switched between the two depending on the project. But all in all, I learned a lot about android and java but it would be really nice if treehouse added more to it as mobile tech seems to get bigger and bigger

thanks for the info, I am going through the lessons right now and this was very helpful! One question, are the "Implementing Designs for Android" lessons smooth sailing compared to "Build a Self-Destructing Messaging App" lessons or is it still very much buggy?

Not a prob!! i found the designs much better to work through but it could be the fact that its just a little more elbow grease whereas in build a sdma, there was a lot more 'wiring' and backend work that changes from version to version

thats good to hear! From my viewing of the questions section on the implementing design videos, it also seems like there are a lot less questions. I just couldn't tell if it was because everyone quit or because it was smooth sailing until you told me haha.
